What a fun activation! I had the best time customizing sneakers for FIFA executives from all around the world at the stunning Faena Miami Beach hotel. Great vibes as always with kickartworkshop and my fellow Miami artists. 14 pairs by me, signed, sealed and delivered!

Every piece of art has a story, and this one is especially close to my heart 🦓💙

I created this painting for my bestie Nicole and her son, Ivan, who share a rare genetic condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1 (MEN1). Ivan is also autistic, and every part of this piece was designed with meaning. The zebra represents rare disease and the neuroendocrine tumor community, inspired by the medical saying, “When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.” Sometimes it really is a zebra. And just as every zebra’s stripes are unique, no two journeys with MEN1, neuroendocrine tumors, rare disease, or autism are exactly alike.

Growing from Ivan is a world of things he loves, representing his imagination, interests, learning, and growth, with autism and MEN1 symbolism woven into his story without defining who he is. Beside him is his mother, loving, protecting, and walking this rare journey alongside him. I hope this piece reaches other MEN1 families, NET patients, autistic individuals and families, and the rare and genetic disease communities. Your stories deserve to be seen. 🦓💙 Mommy-Mamacita💕
