Just because a material becomes trendy doesn’t mean it suddenly stops being timeless.

Taj Mahal Quartzite is a perfect example. Its popularity isn’t accidental: its warm base, subtle movement, and creamy beige and golden tones make it incredibly versatile.

It pairs beautifully with light or dark woods, warm metals, earthy palettes, and even higher-contrast combinations without imposing one specific aesthetic. And that adaptability is exactly what can allow a material to remain relevant long after a trend has passed.

We’re also talking about natural stone. Every slab has its own variation, depth, and character—qualities that can’t simply be reduced to a passing trend.

We shouldn’t demonize a material just because we suddenly see it everywhere. Some trends disappear; others become part of the design vocabulary because they simply work.

Time will tell what happens with Taj Mahal, but it certainly has many of the qualities of a future classic.
