Camillus House has provided humanitarian services/programs changing lives of the homeless since 1960

Established by the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd in 1960, Camillus House has grown steadily over the years from a small overnight shelter into a full service center offering a full “continuum of care” for persons who are poor and homeless. Every service offered at Camillus is carried out with the deeply held belief that every human being is precious in the eyes of the Lord and deserves love

One ID. Endless Possibilities.

For most of us, an ID is something we carry without a second thought. For someone experiencing homelessness, it can be the key to a new beginning.

Each time the mdctaxcollector Office visits our campus, more than 60 individuals receive or replace a government-issued ID, opening the door to housing, employment, healthcare, and other essential resources.

Thanks to our partnership with Dariel Fernandez and his team, we’re able to offer this life-changing service several times each month.

Every ID issued. Every step taken. Every life moving closer to stability, independence, and hope. 💜

Homelessness is more than the absence of housing—it often includes the invisible challenges of mental health.

At Camillus House , we believe that access to behavioral health services can change a life. For many individuals experiencing homelessness, compassionate mental health care is the first step toward recovery, stable housing, employment, and renewed hope.

Our Behavioral Health Program provides evidence-based, person-centered care that meets individuals where they are, helping them heal, rebuild, and create brighter futures.

Our CEO, Eddie Gloria , had an excellent meeting with City of Miami City of Miami Mayor Mayor Eileen Higgins to discuss the future of homelessness services, behavioral health, and affordable housing in Miami.

At Camillus House, we’re proud to work alongside leaders like Mayor Higgins, visionary development partners, and our generous philanthropic community to create bold, lasting solutions to poverty and homelessness.

Together, we’re helping ensure Miami and Miami-Dade County Miami-Dade County Government continue their incredible momentum while building a future where every person has dignity, opportunity, and a place to call home. 💙

Every painting has a story. Every brushstroke reflects a journey of resilience, healing, and hope. 🎨💜

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Amerant Bank Annual “Empowerment Through Art” exhibition, which showcased original artwork created by Camillus House clients as they rebuild their lives after homelessness, addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges.

More than an art exhibit, the event celebrated the transformative power of creativity. Through Camillus House's art therapy program, clients work alongside professional artists, discover new ways to express themselves, build confidence, and even have the opportunity to sell their artwork. 🖼️

Your support makes programs like this possible. Together, we can continue providing opportunities that inspire healing, foster personal growth, and help our clients build lasting change. Special thanks to Amerant Bank for its support!
