Today, we celebrate Regina Jollivette Frazier's life, legacy, and impact on her heavenly birthday. 🤍

A visionary, advocate, and a valued member of the Breakthrough Miami Board of Directors, Regina's life was defined by purpose, compassion, and a belief in the power of OPPORTUNITY. Regina was a mentor, a trusted friend, and a tireless champion whose legacy lives on in our Village and community.

To ensure her impact continues to inspire future generations, our Breakthrough Miami Board established the Regina Jollivette Frazier Legacy Award in 2024. Presented annually during our Senior Celebration, the award honors a graduating Scholar who embodies Regina’s dedication to service, leadership, excellence, and community.

Regina was also the driving inspiration behind our annual Black History Month Essay Contest, which honors her uncle, Garth C. Reeves Sr., founder of The Miami Times. Inspired by her example, the contest invites our Scholars to uncover and celebrate the untold stories and contributions of African Americans in Florida. Regina proudly served as a judge, engaging with Scholars whose research and writing brought these stories to life.

Regina’s legacy lives on through every Scholar who leads with courage, serves with heart, and believes in a brighter tomorrow. 💙
