Today I think about the women whose names, in particular, my friend, Minnie Lauderdale; her success and push was so meaningful as I transitioned into the world of real estate during the tough periods 2008 brought. She was a living example of success and whose career showed me I could do this!
I became a real estate agent at 63. By then, I had lived more lives than most. I was a Mom long before my Miami life was unveiled. I lived and breathed the shipping business. Hosted a radio food talk show… Reinvention. None of it was guaranteed. None of it was easy.
Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom — real freedom — is also the freedom to build, to dream, to start over at any age.
I don't take it for granted.
Today, I sit with gratitude. And tomorrow, I get back to work.

When a client moves to Miami, there's one restaurant I send them to within the first week.
I won't name it here — but if you DM me, I'll tell you.
It's the kind of place where the food is incredible, the staff treats you like family, and you walk out feeling like you finally understand the city.
That's what a great Miami dinner does. It introduces you to who you're becoming here.

Eighty years has taught me this: protect your Sundays.
The world will fill your calendar if you let it. Sundays are how I keep my Mondays from owning me. I am a New Thought Student who believes in abundance; these are all gifts that I need to clearly understand and appreciate.
A slow breakfast. A great gospel choir. A walk on the bay. A call to my grans. A book — that I am seriously doing my best to read… My book club knows what I mean.
By the time Monday arrives, I'm not just ready. I'm clear.
Power. Presence. Prestige. — none of them are sustainable without rest.

There's a reason "ladies who lunch" has become its own ritual. It's not about the lunch. It's about the conversation. The advice. The laughter. The quiet permission to slow down in the middle of a busy week and remind each other who we are.
Some of the best business decisions I've ever made started with a glass of rosé and a friend across the table.
So I'm starting a new series — Ladies Who Lunch every Friday. Stories from the women who shape my world.
Stay tuned.

Most people think of South Beach and picture Ocean Drive. The crowds. The neon. The chaos.
But just a few blocks west sits Sunset Harbour — and it's an entirely different world.
Marina views. Walkable streets. Some of the best restaurants in Miami Beach (and the locals know it). Boutique fitness studios. A bayfront farmer's market on Sundays.
It's the South Beach my clients didn't know they wanted — until I showed them.
→ Save this for your Miami list.

There's an almost quiet corner in Edgewater where I go on Saturday mornings after my walk with the Miami Woman's Club. I enjoy a coffee and avocado toast and take my paper but when you run into friends, it becomes social. This is one of the many things I love about my Miami lifestyle.
I'm not naming the spot — half the magic is finding it yourself. But I will say this: the best Miami discoveries happen when you slow down.
So this weekend, leave the to-do list at home. Find your spot. Come back next Saturday. That's how a city becomes home.

This is simply amazing. We must watch the night sky - it will be a real stunner!
Love it. Quite a stunning entrance.

Hello, June. Hello, summer in Miami.
There's a softness to this month that I love. The mornings feel a little slower. The sunsets stretch a little longer. The light on Biscayne Bay turns everything gold.
After 31 years here, I still notice it. I still pause for it.
Miami in June reminds me that this isn't just where I work — it's where I live. And it's why I get to do what I love every single day.
Welcome to the most beautiful month in the most beautiful city. Let's make it count.
