There’s something special about a speech that can make a room laugh one moment and tear up the next.

The groom’s brother and best man did exactly that; funny, tender, and full of the kind of stories only a brother could tell.

It made me think about the importance of a sense of humor in life and in love. Maybe humor is simply the heart’s way of giggling at the world.

This post is dedicated to three very special women.

First, Ashley Mouriz bride. Relaxed, hilarious, and completely devoted to her family.

Then there’s Janet Mouriz , her mom, one of the kindest women I know. Energetic, sparkly, effortlessly stylish, and always bringing the good vibes, baby.

And finally, Suzanne Michael the visionary planner who brought it all together and showed me so much grace, trust, and a genuine sense of kinship throughout the process.

When I think back on this wedding day, one word comes to mind: layers.

It began with the quiet anticipation of getting ready at the Biltmore Hotel, followed by a beautiful ceremony at Plymouth Congregational Church. Then came a soft pink, tropical-vintage cocktail hour, leading into a breathtaking reception bathed in candlelight.
Every chapter revealed something new. Every setting carried its own mood, texture, and beauty. And woven through it all were three remarkable women whose warmth, vision, and energy made the day what it was.

They say opposites attract; but Ben and Jen feel like something deeper than that. They are not at odds, they are intertwined, like quiet and chaos. Each one making the other more meaningful, more whole. Perfectly balanced, perfectly them.

Confetti everywhere… like, everywhere.

And just when you think it couldn’t get any better, Glenn does what Glenn does best. A laser show that left everyone in awe.
