At ORIL, our PropTech Internship Program gives aspiring tech professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work on projects with real teams, and learn from experienced mentors.

👨‍💻 Meet Oleksandr, a Manual QA Engineer intern in the program.
As part of the internship, Oleksandr has been working on an internal collaboration platform designed to help teams manage ideas, streamline communication, and drive innovation — capabilities that can also be highly relevant for PropTech and real estate companies.

After the first month, one thing stood out most:
💡 “The biggest difference is working as part of a team and seeing how a real product comes to life.”

ORIL team spent last week in Brussels — two events, a lot of conversations.

🔸 The NEB Festival brought together cities, communities, and tech teams around affordable housing, district renovation, and sustainable urban development. Real projects, real challenges, and a consistent need for digital tools that make energy planning, building data, and community participation actually usable by the people on the ground.

🔸 The EDIH Summit covered how Europe's Digital Innovation Hubs support SMEs and public organisations through AI adoption. The practical side of how digital transformation gets funded and scaled across the continent.

As a custom software development company with deep PropTech domain expertise, we know this landscape well — smart buildings, IoT, energy systems, data infrastructure. We're here to stay sharp: to see where the market is moving, which problems are getting real traction, and what the next wave of industry projects and partnerships looks like.

Both events gave us a useful signal on exactly that. We came back with good conversations to follow up on and a clearer view of where to focus next.

At ORIL, we believe that supporting the next generation of tech professionals is one of the most meaningful ways we can contribute to the industry. That’s why we launched our PropTech Internship Program — to help aspiring developers gain real-world experience, mentorship, and exposure to product development.

👨‍💻 Meet Ivan, one of the Full-Stack Developer interns in the program.

One month into the internship, we asked him what stands out most so far.

💡 “In commercial development, every line of code directly impacts business goals and real users.”

Working on a mini-project – an internal collaboration platform designed to help teams manage ideas, streamline communication, and drive innovation — Ivan has been contributing to core features development, solving technical challenges, and learning how to balance engineering quality with business needs.

Data Debt BI for PropTech Vendors: How to Measure the Cost of Bad, Stale, and Fragmented Data in Revenue, Margin, and Product Velocity 06/11/2026

Your next growth bottleneck may not be your product. It may be your data.

Stale and fragmented data creates hidden costs across PropTech platforms — from inaccurate reporting and poor user experiences to slower product development and operational inefficiencies. In this article, we explore how to measure data debt, quantify its business impact, and make it visible before it becomes a larger problem.

Data Debt BI for PropTech Vendors: How to Measure the Cost of Bad, Stale, and Fragmented Data in Revenue, Margin, and Product Velocity Learn how PropTech vendors use BI metrics and dashboards to measure the business impact of bad, stale, and fragmented data across MLS, PMS, CRM, and enrichment feeds.

🤖 🏘️ AI in multifamily is moving beyond simple automation.
Across the industry, the conversation is shifting from "How can AI reduce manual work?" to "How can AI improve decisions, resident experiences, and operational performance?"

A few themes consistently stand out:
🔸 Trust remains the biggest adoption barrier
🔸 AI is delivering the most value in lead nurturing and leasing today
🔸 Personalization is emerging as the next major opportunity
🔸 Agentic AI works best with human oversight, not in isolation
🔸 Data integration is becoming a prerequisite for AI success

Perhaps the biggest shift is this: multifamily technology is evolving from systems of record to systems of intelligence.

The question is no longer whether AI will be part of the resident experience, but where it can create the most value.

The ORIL team is back from Realcomm IBcon 2026 in San Diego — and we're leaving with a lot to think about.

Realcomm IBcon is where the commercial and corporate real estate industry comes to talk about what's actually next — not theory, but real deployments, real challenges, and real solutions.

A few things that stood out for us:
🔸 AI is no longer on the roadmap — it's in production. From building operations to tenant experience, the shift is real.
🔸 Smart buildings are getting smarter fast. The gap between connected infrastructure and actionable data is closing.
🔸 The conversation around scalability is front and center. It's not about whether to adopt — it's about how to move faster.

For us at ORIL, being in that room confirmed what we see every day building custom software for PropTech and real estate clients — the industry is at an inflection point, and the teams that build the right technology foundation now will lead what comes next.

🤝 If you're exploring AI, smart building platforms, data integration, or modernizing real estate technology infrastructure, let's connect and exchange ideas.

Choosing between building custom real estate software and buying an existing solution is rarely just a technical decision — it directly impacts scalability, operations, and long-term flexibility.

In this article, we break down the key factors real estate and PropTech teams should evaluate before making the build vs. buy decision: https://bit.ly/4e0WhOS

Many real estate platforms already have valuable data — the challenge is making analytics a connected part of the product architecture from the beginning.

When reporting and analytics are added later as separate layers, teams often end up with disconnected dashboards, manual reporting workflows, and limited visibility across the platform.

In our latest article, we explore what it means to build a data-native real estate platform — from structuring core data domains (listings, transactions, ownership, behavioral events) to designing systems where analytics scales together with the product: https://bit.ly/3Rclf5b
