One of the living plants I included in my latest floral installation for at Bal Harbour Shops@balharbourshops is the pitcher plant (Nepenthes sp.)—and I’m completely fascinated by it. 🌿✨
The Nepenthes isn’t just visually stunning—it’s also a carnivorous plant, naturally designed to capture insects within its beautiful pitcher-shaped traps. Nature really is the ultimate designer.

A bit more about my latest project. For this year’s Fleurs de Villes annual show at Bal Harbour Shops, the theme was Flora — the goddess of flowers and spring — and I wanted to bring her to life through my own lens of Florida beauty.

My inspiration came straight from my neighborhood - Coconut Grove in the springtime. The old oaks draped in air plants and ferns. The wild, unorganized explosion of color. That effortless, untamed elegance that feels both natural and powerful.

But this is still Miami.

So I contrasted that organic abundance with the sensual glamour of the city’s nightlife. My Flora is not delicate — she is wild, sexy, and fabulous. She owns her femininity. She is rooted in nature but thrives in spotlight. She’s lush, dramatic, and unapologetically alive.
