There is so much wisdom growing quietly in plants, if we pause to notice it.

Keep a plant in a small pot, and it will grow only as large as its container allows, curling its roots inward, settling for the space it’s given. Replant it in something larger, give it more room to stretch and breathe, and it will grow into that space more fully than it ever could have before. It was never that the plant lacked the capacity to grow. It simply needed room to become what it already was.

The same is true of dead leaves. When you cut away what has withered, the plant stops pouring its energy into holding on to what is already gone, trying to nurture those leaves at the end of their cycle. It stops trying to nurse life back into what was never going to bloom again. And all that energy, once spent on clinging, flows back into new growth, into leaves reaching toward the light.

I think humans are a lot like plants. We blossom when we let go of what’s holding us back and move out of our comfort zone and into something more expansive where we can reach our full potential🪴
