MYTH: Traffickers are usually strangers.

REALITY: Many victims are trafficked by someone they know. It’s often a romantic partner, family member, friend, or acquaintance. While traffickers can be strangers, exploitation frequently starts with trust.

Awareness begins with understanding the facts.
