Inspiring night with fellow nonprofit leaders✨. Our director of advocacy Beatriz Schachter, Pro Bono Director Diana Pacheco and Lead Attorney Sofia Henshaw joined Lutheran Services Florida EVP and general counsel Robert Haley and legal director Ramzy Jawwad at last night’s legal happy hour supporting LSF Miami Bridge. In attendance were members of our local legal community including our friends at the judiciary 👏

Thank you to The Florida Bar for highlighting our Pro Bono Legal Support Day in May and its corresponding AI clinic, which helped us maximize our impact.
The use of AI tools allowed for greater focus on the victims of domestic violence, freeing attorneys from administrative tasks such as notetaking and outlining strategy.
A special shout out to Baker Mackenzie and Mondelēz International, our partners in the event. Together, we made the clinic a great success.

On this day 25 years ago, ordinary people showed extraordinary courage for their neighbors and their country. Today, we remember those we lost and the first responders and everyday heroes who carried us through.
Never Forget.

Speaking before Miami-Dade County Mayor and County Commissioners yesterday, Director of Advocacy Beatriz Schachter and Supervising Staff Attorney Aida Diaz-Silveira of CABA Pro Bono Legal Services shared how County budget support transforms lives, from helping youth with disabilities navigate adulthood to advocating for survivors of trauma and beyond. Thank you, Miami-Dade County leadership, for investing in free legal assistance for over 5,000 clients each year through your consideration and support of the CABA Pro Bono team! 🏛️⚖️
CABA Pro Bono’s legal advocacy mission transforms lives.
Meet Kimberlyn, once a victim of human trafficking, now a survivor, a mother, a wife and a professional in the medical field. Her story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with compassionate legal support.

GREAT DAY IN THE COMMUNITY 🤝 Our NLAP team was proud to attend the 2026 Disability Resource Fair, hosted by the Miami-Dade People and Internal Operations Department and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces!
Held August 29 at the Miami-Dade County Fair Expo Center, this was one of the largest disability resource events in the region — bringing together 175+ organizations offering resources in employment & training, housing & transportation, recreation & culture, advocacy, services for children and older adults, assistive technology and inclusive literacy.
It was wonderful connecting with local dignitaries, community partners and friends of CABA Pro Bono, and spending the day alongside so many organizations doing meaningful work for the disability community. Thank you to Miami-Dade County for hosting such an incredible event! 💛
