Some where previous owner was a numby. He replaced the springs with ones 2 inches longer than the origional. So rear hangers got to move back 2 inches and front hangers have to go forward 2 inches to make it work like it should. Lot of hard work because a numby couldn't read a tape.

I wonder how many “carpenters” out there don’t know about leaving expansion on sheathing 👀😉

We always leave a 3mm expansion on all OSB to allow for movement when timber inevitably moves.

Tight boards can lead to forced cracking on internal finishes over time otherwise

Paid extra for a 5-inch driveway because I was told it needed to handle a truck.

Now there are cracks running through the slab.

Cracking doesn't automatically mean the contractor did something wrong—concrete naturally shrinks as it cures. But the pattern, width, location, timing, base preparation, drainage, slab thickness, reinforcement, and control-joint layout all matter when figuring out why a driveway cracked.
