Summer may be winding down, but UV damage doesn’t disappear with the season. ☀️

Sun exposure adds up over time, and repeated sunburns can significantly increase the risk of skin cancer, including melanoma.

Keep paying attention to your skin year-round, especially any spots that are new, changing, or concerning.

If a suspicious lesion raises a question, DermaSensor gives clinicians an AI-powered, non-invasive tool to support skin cancer risk assessment in real time.

Health equity matters in skin cancer detection.

As AI-powered technologies become more common in healthcare, it’s important to understand how different technologies work—and how they perform across diverse patient populations.

Unlike image-based AI tools, DermaSensor uses AI-powered Elastic Scattering Spectroscopy (ESS) to analyze 47 wavelengths and the spectral characteristics of suspicious skin lesions.

In the DERM-SUCCESS pivotal study, DermaSensor demonstrated 95.5% overall sensitivity across 1,579 suspicious lesions, with a subanalysis showing 96.5% sensitivity in Fitzpatrick Skin Types I–III and 92.2% in Types IV–VI.

While less melanoma sensitivity data are currently available for Fitzpatrick Skin Types IV–VI, DermaSensor is committed to continuing to build clinical evidence across diverse patient populations.

Because advancing health equity requires not only innovative technology, but continued evidence to support it.
