It’s the discipline to keep showing up before there’s any proof it’ll work.
Started on the mats doing Tae Kwon Do. Ended up signed to mau5trap.
Keep training, keep developing.

I used a sound that only MacBook users would know. Did you catch it?

What is the best way to get booked as a DJ in your hometown?
I find that showing up in person and supporting the events you want to be a part of is usually the best way to increase your chances of getting booked or at least to build a relationship with the promoter, booker, or event organizer.
If you are a DJ, and you are about it, and you know in your heart that this is what you want to pursue, just don’t stop, even when it seems like the odds are stacked against you and life throws you a curveball.
Keep on going!
Want to create a techno bassline like the one in my track Transmutation, (out now on mau5trap)?
In this tutorial, I break down how I design a clean, driving low end using a two-layer approach: a sub bass and a mid bass.
The sub is a simple sine wave playing an off-beat groove to create that pumping rhythm with the kick. Then, I layer a mid bass in Serum using saw waves but with the fundamentals removed to avoid clashing and keep the low end tight and controlled.
This technique is key for modern techno production if you want your bass to hit hard without sounding muddy.
Help me name this track! Listen on headphones for the full experience 😀
