This past Friday, 25-year-old artist Melanie Santiler released her debut album Los Cisnes. Melanie is a triple threat: she wrote 80—90% of the songs on this album, delivered a masterful performance musically, and she released the album through her label Mami Fina Records. She is the latest in a trend of artists finding groundbreaking ways to make a living from their art on their own terms.
