Today, Seraphic Fire joins our community in celebrating Juneteenth as we honor the end of slavery in the United States and reflect on the enduring journey toward freedom, justice, and equality. We celebrate the profound historical, cultural, and artistic contributions of Black Americans that continue to shape and enrich our nation’s musical landscape.

Please note that our box office and administrative offices will be closed today, Friday, June 19, in observance of the holiday. Normal operations will resume on Monday, June 22.

From June 9–13, we welcomed 51 talented high school singers from seven Miami-Dade schools for our 2026 High School Professional Choral Institute (HSPCI) at Florida International University.

This tuition-free intensive provided world-class mentorship, vocal coaching, and professional rehearsals, culminating in an extraordinary side-by-side public performance under the direction of Dr. James K. Bass and Patrick Dupré Quigley. We are incredibly grateful to our educational partners, generous donors, and the inspiring young artists who made this milestone week such a success!

Now in her 13th year with Seraphic Fire, Suzanne brings decades of experience as a music educator and administrator to our education programs. Through her leadership, thousands of students across South Florida have connected with world-class choral music through workshops, concerts, and immersive learning experiences. 🎼✨
