Soy yo con más...stay away from the verb TO GET with emotions in Spanish, so don't use conseguir to express "get mad" / "get sick" / "get depressed". Rather use REFLEXIVE VERBS to express these thoughts:

enfermar(se): to get sick
Me enfermé el sábado: I got sick on Saturday
enojar(se): to get mad
Paula se enojó conmigo: Paula got mad at me
deprimir(se)
Los estudiantes se deprimieron cuando vieron sus calificacones:
the students got (became) depressed cuando when they saw their grades...pero no Uds, ¿verdad que no?

Today, poor Grant got hassled for wearing a f***y pack. Police and stadium workers made him go through it. That pat down wasn't very fun either.
