Our mission is the creation of a multi-purpose space that will adequately address the needs of inner-city Miami residents affected by the symptoms of gentrification (slumlords, rising rents, lack of community control), and that is shaped, developed and implemented by those same residents.

Help Us Build the Read’N Rainbow Library!
We are collecting new and gently used books for our new Read’N Rainbow Mini Library in Miami.
We are especially looking for:

🏳️⚧️ Transgender & gender-expansive stories

🌈 LGBTQ+ history

📚 Youth & young adult books
🎨 Art, poetry & cultural books
Our goal is to create a small community library where people can read, learn, discover our history, and see stories that reflect Black and LGBTQ+ lives.

Today, we shine a light on one of the struggles’ most powerful fighters— Fannie Lou Hamer. Hamer was a shrewd movement strategist who rose from abject poverty to challenge and reshape the American political order.
