Sowing Seeds Rescue Mission

Big thank you to the Mansfield Women's Club, Mansfield, TX for sponsoring us this month with so many coats, blankets, hats and gloves and monetary donation to prepare our friends in Mansfield for the upcoming cold months.

Today is North Texas Giving Day! Please consider giving to an organization that is out on the streets actually helping real people with needs.

At Sowing Seeds Rescue Mission we go to the streets to meet the needs of those who are hurting and have no way to get the help they need. Together with your donations we are able to make an impact within our communities. Won’t you please consider making a difference thru us on North Texas Giving Day!!

Early Giving starts THIS THURSDAY! 💛

North Texas Giving Day is coming, and this Thursday marks the beginning of Early Giving which means you can schedule your gift to Sowing Seeds Rescue Mission in advance through the link in our BIO!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more about what your gifts make possible at Sowing Seeds Rescue Mission.

This Thursday, you can be part of what comes next. Schedule your North Texas Giving Day gift early and help us make room for more people to survive.

We can’t wait to show you what your generosity is helping build.

Saturday our group went out under the highways and in the trenches to minister and feed a hundred individuals. We came across so many hurting and lost. Our mission is to show compassion to the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame. Those that most people turn a blind eye to and walk right past. Jesus has not forgotten them.

This heat wave is having an impact on our neighbors who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness, and despite our best efforts, two unsheltered homeless neighbors in our service area have passed away at or near their camp sites. We are working with the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office to help identify one of them. We cannot release more information at this time.

We are seeing news reports and attempts to identify others in other cities.

This heat wave is a very serious and life-threatening situation.

There are many who are afraid to come in to the cooling stations. The main fears are that someone will come take their belongings while they are at the cooling station and some have anxiety about being around others.

Please pray for them. Pray for their safety and that we can get them to come inside.

We are so thankful for our partner churches, such as The Haven Church of the Nazarene who are opening their doors to our clients to help save lives. Without their help, and without our volunteers, that number could be higher.

We can’t let today go without giving credit where credit is due. Today marks 3 years of amazing service to our communities. God has opened up so many avenues for us and we can’t do any of this without Him and the people He has put in our path.

Thank you to all of our board members for always standing behind this mission and having a big heart for serving our communities in the DFW metroplex.

Thank you to every volunteer and person that has stood beside us in making this happen. It’s a huge task and can’t be done without you.

And thank you to everyone that has donated to our mission. Serving our communities is what we are all called to do. And when we all come together and make this happen God blesses each of us in incredible ways.

Today we were able to serve 500 people full meals and snacks for the weekend. This couldn’t be done without those that believe in what we are doing. You know who you are and we are beyond grateful for what you did and continue to do for our mission.
