Midlothian Economic Development (MED) is a voter-approved Type A nonprofit corporation established in 1999.
We use sales tax dollars to support primary job creation, workforce training, and infrastructure improvements that strengthen Midlothian’s economy. Midlothian Economic Development is a nonprofit industrial development corporation with the purpose of promoting economic development – increasing the wealth of stakeholders within the City of Midlothian. The corporation was established in February, 1999 under the Development Corporation Act of 1979, as amended, Article 5190.6 and is a Type A corporation under the Act.

What a night!
Last night, we celebrated the finalists of the Midlothian Business Pitch Competition and heard their plans for growing their businesses right here in Midlothian.

This four-week class is designed for business owners who are ready to think beyond the day-to-day and start planning for what’s next, whether that means hiring, expanding locations, increasing production, or getting your systems in place for growth.
We’ll meet Thursdays in September from 3–4 p.m., with online modules and workbook activities to go along with the weekly discussions.
