💙 Fundraising Friday: The True Cost of Caring for Kittens 💙

Every kitten who comes into our care deserves a healthy start—but the cost of providing that care adds up quickly.

The breakdown below reflects a kitten who arrives with no prior vetting. Some kittens come to us needing minimal care (such as a single vaccine), and kittens transferred from partner rescues often require little to no vetting.

Because veterinary pricing can change, the following is an estimated average:
Estimated Kitten Vetting Costs:
• Exam: $20
• Spay or Neuter: $100
• FVRCP Vaccines (3): $5 each — $15
• Rabies Vaccine: $16
• Dewormer: $10
• F***l Test: $5
• FeLV/FIV Test: $20
• Revolution: $5
➡️ Total estimated cost per kitten (full vetting): $200 (rounded)

This estimate assumes the kitten is healthy and does not require additional medical treatment.

Any illness, injury, or special care needed increases the cost we cover for each kitten.

Our adoption fee for kittens is $175, which means it does not fully cover the cost of care—even in the best-case scenario.

As a 100% volunteer-run rescue, we can only continue saving lives with the support of our community. Donations help bridge the gap between adoption fees and the true cost of medical care, ensuring every kitten gets the chance they deserve.
