What is our church’s mission?

“To make maturing followers of Jesus by the power of the gospel.”

This isn’t just a statement on our website. It’s what we want to shape every ministry around at our church.

In Children’s Ministry, we want kids to know and love Jesus and grow in their faith.

In Youth Ministry, we want students to become rooted in Christ and continue maturing as they follow Him.

In Women’s Ministry, we aim to help women to grow in their knowledge of God and grow in discipleship to more closely follow Jesus and to help others do the same.

In our Sunday gatherings, Small Groups, discipleship, and everything in between, the goal is the same: that we would be continually growing as followers of Jesus.

And we don’t do this by simply trying harder to become better Christians! We believe it happens “by the power of the gospel” because God is the one who saves us, changes us, and continues His work in us.

At CrossWay Milwaukee we have one mission across every ministry and generation! And we would love for you to be part of it. You are always welcome!

Our mission at Crossway Milwaukee Church is to make maturing followers of Jesus by the power of the gospel.

We can’t do this alone. Not only do we need Jesus, but we need one another! Being connected to a local church is one of the best ways to grow spiritually…praying together, meeting together and encouraging one another to continue to seek Christ through life’s up and downs.

What a joy and privilege it is to worship with God’s people!

Part of our youth group group at crossway involves the youth getting together with the families of our church. Families choose activities to do or invite them for a meal so that they can get to know many members of our church body. We never want the youth group to feel like an isolated entity!

This Sunday we are starting a new sermon series , working through the book of Daniel!

The prophet Daniel and stubborn Israel were exiled to enemy territory. Yet Daniel wrote to declare that God still reigns over all and His kingdom will never be thwarted. God is with His people, and He will bring His kingdom to the nations through their exile. It’s a message Christ-followers need today, living as exiles on our way to a better country, God’s consummated kingdom (1 Pet. 1:1; 2:11; Heb. 11:13-16; 13:14).

Youth group kicked off the year with mini golf and reading the first chapter of C.S. Lewis’s “The Screw Tape Letters”, which is what they will be going through this summer!

Youth group at Crossway has the same mission as Crossway: to make maturing followers of Jesus, by the power of the gospel.

In addition to meeting for Bible study (book discussion in summer) the youth are meeting regularly with families at Crossway for dinner, games or other activities to truly get connected into the church body.

Today we kicked off the summer Bible memory challenge!

This is a way for the children at Crossway (and the adults who want to memorize scripture alongside them!) to have God’s word in their heart. We pray that all of these precious kids would grow to know the Lord and his word!

In the past, the kids have memorized passages from Romans 8, Ephesians 6 and all of psalm 23. This year, they are learning the Ten Commandments in exodus chapter 20!

The word of God is living and active, and we pray that God would do a work in each of their lives this summer!

It’s not too late to join! If you’d like to participate, the memory challenge will take place Sundays from 8:45-9:45 throughout the summer. We will do devotional, play games and learn more about what God has for us! Send us a message- we would love to have you there!

Anxiety doesn’t get the final word…Christ does!

This past weekend at Crossway’s annual women’s retreat was a reminder that we were never meant to carry everything alone. We opened our Bibles, spoke truth over anxious hearts, and found peace not in having control but in trusting the One who does.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6

There’s something powerful about sitting shoulder to shoulder, sharing honestly, praying boldly, and being reminded of the truth of the gospel.

If you’ve been carrying anxiety quietly, you don’t have to do it alone anymore!. There is a place for you here at Crossway a community rooted in truth, marked by grace, and walking together toward freedom in Jesus.

Dead to sin, raised to new life in Christ!

This weekend we celebrated baptism, a beautiful picture of what Jesus has done for us. Because of Jesus, we are now free from sin, and can walk in newness of life!

It’s not a declaration of self improvement, but a declaration of God’s grace in our lives.
