PEAK Initiative

🌳During ExploreMKE we traveled to the Conservancy for Heritage and Healing, Kopps, and Wehr Nature Center at Whitnall Park. At the Conservancy we enjoyed a mindfulness walk with deep breaths and observed how the area was impacting our senses by naming what we could see, hear, touch, and smell.

🍔We engaged our fifth sense with lunch at Kopps enjoying burgers as big as our head and custard by the waterfall wall. We then made mud pies in the nature playground at Wehr before walking to see the real waterfall. 🚶‍♂️

🍂The leaves were starting to change, and the weather was mild with the smell of fresh rain which made for a perfect chill Saturday together.

🏕️ September Family Camp may have been a little drizzly, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time! 🌦️ From archery and arts & crafts to spending time in the garden and even a bit of kayaking, there was plenty of fun.
