Great internships don't just introduce you to an industry. They help you find your place in it.

For Chris Sberna, what started as an internship–through hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to take on increasing responsibility–blossomed into a career spanning more than a decade and counting.

The best way to understand a career at Kapur is through the people who’ve built one.

For 20 years, Brad Thomann has helped project teams turn information into insight.

From transportation and infrastructure projects to utility and municipal initiatives, his GIS expertise has supported collaboration, informed decision-making, and better project outcomes across the region.

Congratulations on this milestone anniversary, Brad. And with the Milwaukee Brewers chasing history this season, it's only fitting that one of Kapur's most dedicated fans is celebrating a milestone year of his own.

As communities continue to evaluate how best to manage flood risk, it's valuable to see large-scale mitigation efforts in the field.

At the ASCE Wisconsin Section - Southeast Branch Past Presidents Tour, Matt Laufer, Neal R. Styka and Nick Bobinski joined MMSD and industry professionals for a behind-the-scenes look at the Hart Park and Western Milwaukee Levee System Phase 2B Project, an effort that includes levee improvements, floodwall construction, storm sewer enhancements, and riverbank restoration.

Site visits like this provide practical insights that can help inform conversations with clients facing similar infrastructure and resilience challenges.

While the Milwaukee Business Journal's Best Places to Work celebration may have been Kentucky Derby-themed, one thing remains true for us regardless of the setting: employee satisfaction has no finish line.

For the fifth consecutive year, Kapur has earned a place on the Milwaukee Business Journal's Best Places to Work list, ranking fourth in the Extra Large (200+ employees) category based entirely on anonymous employee survey feedback.

It was great to join fellow honorees at the Brookfield Conference Center and celebrate the organizations employees themselves chose to recognize. We appreciate our staff for sharing their candid perspectives and helping us continue building a place where people can learn, contribute, and grow.

We're making the rounds across Southern Wisconsin and Northern Indiana this week and looking forward to having conversations with aspiring engineers about internships, careers, and life at an employee-owned company.

If you're interested in starting a career with a company that believes interns should contribute from Day 1, come find us.

What happens when rain hits the ground matters. For communities that have experienced the impacts of major rainfall events in recent years, these investments have never been more important.

As we recognize National and Wisconsin Stormwater Awareness Week, we view stormwater management as more than a design consideration. It's an opportunity to help the communities we and our clients call home prepare for increasingly frequent and intense rainfall events.

Clean communities don't happen by accident.

On World Cleanup Day, we're recognizing the volunteers, organizations, and community members who help care for the places we all share. Their efforts make a difference far beyond a single day.

The parks, trails, waterways, streets, and public spaces that serve our communities are stronger because of the people who take pride in caring for them.

As part of the team supporting the I-94 East-West Project, Kapur staff recently attended the Joint ITE/WTS Breakfast Meeting to hear firsthand how project partners are helping maintain reliable access to American Family Field throughout construction.

With postseason baseball in Milwaukee approaching, the discussion highlighted the planning, coordination, and outreach efforts taking place behind the scenes to help businesses, travelers, and Milwaukee Brewers fans navigate impacts along one of Wisconsin's most significant transportation projects.

Thank you to the event's speakers for sharing insight into the work happening beyond the construction zone.
