Yesterday we celebrated the 125th anniversary of the dedication of our church building!

For 125 years, God has faithfully gathered his people here through his Word. We thank him for his countless blessings in this place and look forward to all he has in store for the years ahead.

Last Wednesday marked our third and final (for now) Mahjong Night at Grace!

This session welcomed an entirely new group of players, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together to learn, connect, and enjoy a fun evening of fellowship. Over the course of these three Mahjong Nights, we’ve had the opportunity to meet new people and build community around the game.

Thank you to everyone who participated this summer. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did-and we look forward to the possibility of gathering again for more Mahjong in the future!

After 44 years of faithful service to our congregation and community, Pastor Huebner has retired.

For more than four decades, he has guided, encouraged, and walked alongside countless individuals and families through some of life’s most meaningful moments. His dedication, compassion, and unwavering faith have left a lasting impact on our church family and beyond.

On Friday evening, we gathered in the Grace Center to celebrate Pastor Huebner’s remarkable ministry, share memories, and give thanks for the many ways God has worked through him over the years.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration. Pastor Huebner, thank you for 44 years of ministry, leadership, and Christ-centered service. We wish you God’s richest blessings in retirement.

Modern addition will join historic grandeur as downtown church plans demo - Milwaukee Business Journal Demolition will soon begin at Grace Evangelical Lutheran, where crews will carefully preserve historic elements while making room for a modern addition.

Members of our congregation gathered this past Sunday to welcome our new pastor, Jacob Haag, and his family to Grace!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Grace Center Beer Garden, playing co****le, cheering on our called staff during a stein-holding competition, sharing delicious food, presenting the Haag family with gifts from our congregation, and enjoying fellowship together.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Haags and to those who contributed Milwaukee-themed gifts to help welcome them to our community. We are excited to have the Haag family with us and look forward to the years ahead!

A Man After God’s Own Heart

Has higher praise ever been given to a person than was given to David? God called him a man after his own heart (Acts 13:22). A sinful man, with plenty of weaknesses, yet God put faith in his heart, showered him with forgiveness, and sent him out for a life of service, and he does the same for us as well. Join us to review the life of this man of faith and to be encouraged that God is still at work in the lives of his people.

Difficult Old Testament Ethical Issues

Secular critics like Richard Dawkins reject the Old Testament because it seems to be so primitive. The genocide of the Canaanites, the mistreatment of women, and extremely harsh punishments – even Bible-believing Christians don’t quite know what to do with these parts of the Old Testament. We will look at these issues from an ethical perspective, place them in their historical context, and practice responding to these secular criticisms today.
