I do love a Friday wedding! Kyle and Isabelle had the PERFECT summer afternoon for this ceremony. Isabelle and Kyle’s ceremony shared a wonderful story. Kyle actually met Isabelle through Isabelle’s mom who set them up after she met Kyle in paramedic school. After they met they just knew they had had their “last first date.” From there they went through finishing school, starting careers, building a business and of course raising their puppy family. I was so excited for this ceremony and what made it even more fun is I actually officiated Isabelle’s sisters wedding in 2024 so when I say we grew the I do. family, it fits 🙂

Congratulations are in order for Jon and Bethany! Yesterday I had the honor of officiating this ceremony which, for me was just a touch more special because the brides family and I were neighbors for years! Yesterday’s ceremony celebrated a story of high school friends finding each other again later in life. When they met back up they picked up right from where they had left off so many years before, from a rekindled friendship to a love rediscovered these two culminated that journey to be husband and wife! Congratulations to Beth and Jon and here’s to a lifetime of wedded bliss.

What also made this wedding fun was working with my good friend Taber with Taber Lacie Photo (also an I do. alumni 😊). Always a great time when amazing vendors are in the building!

This weekends wedding adventure took me back to for Amber and Tom, a workplace romance that was truly meant to last a lifetime. The river flowed slowly, the sun shining brightly through a thin layer of afternoon clouds as Amber and Tim said their vows. It was a stunning backdrop for this super fun couple!

Congratulations is in order for Josh and Bonita who got married this afternoon on the shores of Lake Michigan! This couple met when they were attending the annual Sturgis Bike Rally and now they said their I dos and celebrate a new beginning. I love these elopement ceremonies, they are so magical and sweet. I couldn’t be happier for Josh and Bonita and welcome to the I do. family!

A quick…but fun break from weddings (sort of)

I recently went out for an afternoon flight with my good friends from and what an amazing time we had! So many couples don’t realize the friendships that us wedding vendors form and have outside of weddings. This is just a small celebration of my dear friendship with Olivia and Bryan who captured our time together so brilliantly!

Thank you to Bryan and Olivia for spending the afternoon with me and getting some AMAZING flight photos while sharing wedding stories (all good).

Yesterday’s ceremony adventure took me to where we celebrated Mattie and Ryan as they “tied the knot!” The setting, decor and vibe felt like we went back in time. Ryan and Mattie having first met in high school, didn’t find their love until after college. As we so often say, love is all about timing. Once they did discover the love between them it turned out to be the forever kind 🙂. It was storming outside but we celebrated inside on Friday afternoon as we welcomed Ella and Michael to the I do. family. This couple met in high school and not long after the pandemic started their love story began. Ella and Michael traversed not only challenges of everyday life and early adulthood but were each other’s rock and support systems through unimaginable obstacles. Yet, through it all, Ella and Michael came out stronger and more in love. I couldn’t be more excited for these two. I wish them all the best as they walk forward as husband and wife!
