It’s fall, y’all. And that means hoodie season. 🍂

Sometimes He whispers. Sometimes He confirms something through His Word. Sometimes He corrects you. And sometimes He keeps bringing you back to the same thing until you finally stop and listen.

Then you turn the hoodie around and find the truth behind the statement:

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27 NKJV

I recently had the privilege of sitting down with Engel Jones for Episode 210 of 12minconvos with Jesus Believers.

Engel gave me space to talk about where my journey with God began, going all the way back to being seven years old in Trinidad, when I experienced the peace of God in the middle of a fearful moment.

We also talked about recommitting my life to Jesus at 19, my Caribbean roots, the calling behind Ironclad Men’s Ministry, and why I wrote Raging War to help men grow in spiritual maturity, confront the things competing for God’s place in their lives, and trust His sovereign plan.

When I look back, I can see that God was laying foundations long before I understood what He was building.

Sister Queens, I’m excited to share a new conversation with you. 👑🎙️

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Engel Jones, host of 12-Minute Convos with Jesus Believers, and talk about a part of my story that has shaped so much of who I am today.

There was a time when my career was moving exactly where I thought it should. I was traveling the world, growing professionally and getting closer to the C-suite.

And then I lost my job.

Suddenly, the path I thought I understood changed.

But Sister Queens, God was not finished writing my story.

Engel and I talked about what happened next—the struggle with imposter syndrome, learning to separate my identity from my accomplishments, the importance of intercessory prayer, and what it means to obey God when He leads you somewhere you never expected to go.

Looking back, I can see that what felt like an ending was also a redirection.

If you are in a season where something has changed, something has ended, or God seems to be leading you away from what you thought your life would look like, I hope this conversation encourages you.
