24 hours notice. Records included. Use it NOW.
The law is on your side. The County has the power to walk into that building and demand a complete accounting of every object, every piece, every exhibit before January 3, 2027. They just need you to ask them to do it.

"The collections are moving" is not an answer.
Call your Milwaukee County Supervisor. Demand Section 5.9 inspection and an itemized inventory—before October.
The County has the legal right. The law gives them 24 hours notice to inspect. The official Records must be submitted for review.
Use the contractual Stewardship & Oversight Authority before valuable Public Assets become the financial gains of the Private Non-profit management entity - who was hired to display the Artifacts and Exhibits - not rob them from Milwaukee County residents!

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT WHAT'S HAPPENING?
All we've been told is "the collections are moving."
No inventory. No itemized list or breakdown. No preservation plan for what stays, what gets sold, and what's destroyed. No word about the dioramas, the immersive built-in environments, the irreplaceable exhibits. Just vague, misleading semantics and stonewalling.
The County Board doesn't know what's on the Auction list. The public is in the dark. And that's intentional.

HOW DID THIS BECOME THE PROPERTY OF MPM INC.?
This model of Ramses III Temple was being created at the Milwaukee Public Museum in the 1960s—long before MPM Inc. became the private nonprofit manager in 1992. It took the artist, Ed Moll 8,000 hours over nearly a decade to meticulously craft to perfection. MPM Inc. now claims to “ own” - yet they won't produce a single record shows when and how ownership was transferred?
A slide is not a deed. Produce the authentic documentation, or stop claiming to own it!

MPM INC. IS A MANAGEMENT COMPANY.
It is now classifying historic Public Trust Artifacts as its own personal property.
A management contract does not confer ownership. The 1992 agreement was for management of MPM operations, not asset transfer. But MPM Inc. is rewriting the definitions—claiming title to objects built into the building, funded by taxpayers, held in public trust for generations.
Where's the documentation? When did this transfer happen?

It's a little-known fact that Milwaukee style inspired the more famous exhibits in New York and other places.
Milwaukee didn't just have a museum. Milwaukee innovated museum design and diorama craftsmanship. What's about to be lost isn't just a building—it's a legacy that influenced the entire field.
That's worth fighting for.

Stop calling this political. It's stewardship.
A public institution. A binding lease. A private nonprofit that now decides which parts of your history stay, get sold, or disappear.
That's not red versus blue. That's accountability.
The fix isn't a different party in charge. It's supervisors using the power they already have to inspect the records and ask: who owns it?

This isn't political. It's governance.
When public assets leave a public building, the public gets to ask questions. Who owns it? What records prove it? Where's it going?
Milwaukee County taxpayers should care about that, regardless of politics. We're not stopping the new museum — we're asking for accountability about the old one.
