In the scalp micropigmentation industry, it’s completely normal to consult with more than one artist before deciding who you trust with your head. What I’m tired of hearing, though, is how often clients tell me another artist used that consultation to speak negatively about someone else in the industry.

Frankly, I’m freaking tired of it.

Your work should be able to speak for itself. You shouldn’t need another artist to look bad for your work to look good.

There is room for different artists, different styles, different techniques, and different people. Supporting another artist doesn’t take anything away from what you’ve built. It makes the industry better.

I always explain it like coats of nail polish. You can’t just glob it all on at once. You have to take it easy, go slow, and use both appointments to build the color and depth.

That’s how you get a beautiful bold dark brow that still looks soft, airy, and natural instead of looking like your brows were drawn on with a Sharpie.
