Minnesotans turned to faith communities to help during the ICE surge. Some stayed for Sunday worship. Some churches have seen a renewed interest in worship services since Operation Metro Surge as people seek out connections to the community.

Community concert benefits those affected by St. Louis Park apartment fire 08/18/2026

This past Sunday Union UCC partnered with the St. Louis Park Emergency Program to host a benefit concert for the Helix Apartment residents who were impacted by a fire. Minnesota singer/songwriter Ann Reed performed at the event, which raised more than $4,400! WCCO even showed up and covered it! Check out the story on WCCO!
