Stay safe during extreme heat..
Heat
Young children, aging adults and people who are immunocompromised are most vulnerable to heat-related illnesses during the summer. During extreme heat, your body works extra hard to maintain a normal temperature, which can lead to illness or even death.

Signs of heat exhaustion

Heavy sweating
Muscle cramps
Fatigue
Fast or weak pulse, dizziness, headache, fainting, nausea, and vomiting.
Signs of heat stroke

Extremely high body temperature (above 103 degrees Fahrenheit)
Red, hot and dry skin with no sweat
Rapid, strong pulse
Dizziness, confusion or unconsciousness
Stay safe during extreme heat

Drink plenty of water
Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing
Limit outdoor activities and exercise
Spend time in cool centers or in air conditioning. Hennepin County maintains an interactive online map of places the public can go to get relief from the heat.

Proposed NOAH program updates: Seeking public comment

The City of Minneapolis is proposing changes to Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH) Preservation Fund program.

The purpose of the NOAH Preservation Fund is to help finance the purchase and preservation of unsubsidized rental housing. The primary goal is to prevent displacement of low income renters. Learn more about the NOAH Preservation Fund.
