We’re helping caregivers in families with disability walk abundantly in life, faith and relationships.

Walk Right In Ministries helps caregivers in families living with disability or complex medical conditions to walk abundantly in life, faith and relationships. We offer mentoring and pastoral counseling, peer support groups, resources, referrals and a leadership development program. Are you a family caregiver who has struggled to find wellness support that is relatable, credible, financially accessible, and aligned with their faith or values? Walk Right In Ministries helps caregiving family members cope and heal within affordable, faith-based community. The WRIM community brings family caregivers hope for their future and the future of those they love most in the world. We offer peer support groups, individual and family counseling, discipleship training, church referrals, story-sharing platforms and leadership development opportunities. Our services help caregivers process stress and grief, reframe their perspectives about the caregiving lifestyle, optimize their strengths in the caregiving role, cultivate robust supports, become more resilient and grow in faith and relationships. When aging families need help exploring transitions of direct care and/or coordination responsibilities, WRIM can help the family navigate expectations, weigh options and make decisions. Our ultimate vision is for families living with disabilities and other complex health needs to experience fulfilling, Christ-centered life together and share their stories for the glory of God.

"The healthiest caregiving families are not without storms. They are the ones who don't let fatigue, overwhelm and stress harden them. They are mastering the art of leaning into challenges as a team while honoring the strengths of their individuality, forgiving themselves and others often, and building connectedness so doubt and bitterness never have a chance grow." -Lisa Jamieson

Heavenly Father, I am a caregiver of flesh and spirit. Caring for my loved one demands stamina - physical, mental, and emotional endurance. Honestly, I just want relief. My spirit needs reassurance. Refresh and bolster me so I can remain committed and effective. Lord, help me. Amen.

"My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak. But God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever."
-Psalm 73:26

We currently have need for perspectives in several areas including (but not limited to) marketing, law, finance, healthcare and mental health.

Please consider nominating yourself or someone in your network. Email us at [email protected] for more information and the nomination form. Submit nominations by November 1st.

The Walk Right In Ministries Board of Directors is a group of committed volunteers who help guide the strategic and spiritual direction of the organization. Since our founding in 2008, Board members have been integral in the vision and implementation of our programs and services. We have new openings as current Board members complete their terms and the organization grows.

"Whatever season you find yourself in today holds Life for you. Stay home! Own your season! Live it fully. Your current season is where the grace is. It's where God camps with you until you both move along together." -Joel Warne

Lord, I have a lot to offer my family. And each person in my family has their own unique gifts to offer too. Please knit us together in a way that optimizes each of our strengths and brings harmony among us.

"God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another."
-1 Peter 4:10

"With 1 in 4 Americans living with a disability and the likelihood of disability increasing with age, it's time we view disability as an ordinary aspect of our communal life rather than a problem to be managed." -Nadia Ibrahim Mossburg

When your family is impacted by a disability—especially when a loved one is non-speaking—intuition becomes your superpower. You learn to read the room, anticipate needs, and connect deeply without saying a word. Intuition is a beautiful gift, but it isn't a replacement for clear communication. In families impacted by disability, we often get incredibly good at reading non-verbal cues and anticipating needs. But expecting the rest of the world (or even our closest people) to read our minds only leads to disappointment.

Drop a 🤍 if you needed this reminder today or tell us how you balance relying on your intuition while maintaining clear, verbal boundaries and needs with those around you.

"Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what He has made crooked? Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life."
-Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

Lord, Your ways are higher than mine. You are a mystery and that frustrates me sometimes. Just when I think I want to understand everything and know the future, I realize what foolishness that is. Ultimately, I'm thankful that You are too big for me to grasp. My family, our circumstances and the future are too big for any of us to hold without You. I trust You.
