This Sunday at 10 AM, our September Music Series continues with Inspired to Follow Your Heart, centered on the life and work of Maya Lin. I’ll share the morning’s message, with meditation led by Karen Onny, LUT and beautiful music from Rachel Holder, Lori Dokken, and The Unity Band.

Join us in the Sanctuary or via livestream as we explore what it means to listen deeply, follow our inner knowing, and have the courage to bring our vision into the world.

Dear friends,

I’ve been searching for the right words since Sunday, and I keep landing on the simplest ones: thank you.

Thank you to everyone who filled the Sanctuary—twice—and to everyone who joined us from living rooms near and far on the livestream. Thank you to those who came back after years away. Welcoming you home again was one of the great joys of my ministry.

And thank you to the volunteers who drove the shuttle, greeted, sang, served, poured coffee, and helped make two beautiful receptions possible. Thank you to every person who, over these past years, gave a gift, said a prayer, sat through a congregational meeting, or simply kept the faith while the walls went up around us.

This past Sunday, we dedicated a building. But what I saw in that room—both times—was something a building can only hold, never create: generations of faith, standing side by side, deciding once again to keep the door open wider.

In 1919, a handful of people gathered in a living room to study these teachings. In 1973, this congregation claimed its home on Golden Valley Road. And in 2026, we’ve made sure that home welcomes every body, every age, and every ability through every door and onto every level for generations to come.

I am so proud of what we celebrated on Sunday—not simply because of what we built, but because of what you proved: that a century-old promise can be kept, renewed, and handed forward.

The dedication is complete. The dream, of course, is just beginning.

Thank you for being part of it. I can’t wait to see what Spirit does in these rooms—and to see you there, Sunday after Sunday, for generations to come.

On Friday, Oct. 16, from 6:30–8 PM in the Sanctuary, we’re thrilled to welcome don Miguel Ruiz Jr. and don Jose Ruiz—Toltec Masters of Transformation and bestselling authors—for an unforgettable evening exploring The Four Agreements and The Fifth Agreement and what it means to break free from the beliefs and patterns that no longer serve us.

Expect storytelling, humor, powerful insights, and practical wisdom as the brothers invite us to question the agreements we’ve made, see old patterns in a new way, and create greater freedom, authenticity, and love in our lives.
