Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day
Multicultural Kids Network honors the histories, living cultures, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. We celebrate the elders, families, and young leaders who carry their languages, knowledge, and traditions forward.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we believe every child deserves to grow up knowing that their heritage matters, their voice deserves respect, and they belong.
Awareness begins with learning, and grows through action. We invite our community to read books by Indigenous authors, learn about the Native nations whose lands we call home, support Indigenous organizations and businesses, and listen to Indigenous voices.
Let’s teach our children to appreciate cultures beyond their own and stand against prejudice and discrimination. Honoring Indigenous peoples is a commitment we can carry throughout the year.
Please share this message to help raise awareness and build a more respectful, inclusive community.

Thank you, Sharon E.Brooks , for inviting me to today’s Light of Hope luncheon at the Hutton House! It was a privilege to celebrate their outstanding achievements and the meaningful difference they are making in Kenya.
Their work is deeply needed, and it was inspiring to gather with people committed to bringing hope and opportunity to others. A wonderful event filled with fellowship, compassion, and purpose.
Thank you to everyone helping make this mission possible! ❤️

👓❤️ Help us give back to communities in Senegal!
Dear friends and neighbors, I invite you to join Multicultural Kids Network in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our communities in Senegal.
Do you have reading glasses or prescription eyeglasses you no longer use? Your donation could help someone who cannot afford glasses see more clearly, read more comfortably, and manage everyday tasks with greater confidence.
We welcome clean, unused or gently used glasses in good condition. One pair sitting in your drawer could make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
Please contact me to arrange your donation, and share this appeal with your friends and family.

Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued at school.
As Education Committee Chair of the Minneapolis NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, I want parents, guardians, and caregivers to know that you do not have to face concerns about racism or discrimination alone.
If your child has experienced racial harassment, discrimination, or unfair treatment at school, please reach out to our Education Committee. We want to listen, understand your concerns, and discuss how we can help you identify next steps.
Your child’s voice matters. Your concerns deserve to be heard, and your child’s opportunity to learn and thrive matters.
Please contact me directly to connect with our committee. To protect your child’s privacy, avoid sharing names or sensitive details in public comments.
Together, we can work toward schools where every student belongs and has the opportunity to succeed.
