Sepal Design Studio

Construction documents have been sent out for this mid century kitchen renovation and we’ll be seeing construction starting soon, hopefully wrapping for the clients to enjoy the holidays in their new kitchen! 😊

The client came to us saying “the dream was a double wall oven, but I don’t think we have enough space for that”. And that, my friends, is why you hire an interior designer 😎

While we didn’t change the square footage of the space, we did find a cleaver way to fit a double wall oven, induction cooktop, and gorgeous views out their back yard while working at the sink. Cheers to dreams being realized! 🥂

Would you rather have a double wall oven with a cooktop or an all-in-one range?

Such a fun site visit to see all of the progress my clients have made building their dream home 🥹 It’s getting so close to the finish line! Here’s a look at their moody primary bath 🖤

“Moody, dramatic, animal print” ✔️

A lil *in progress* drop of what work has been looking like the past few weeks. I’m so blessed to be working on such fun projects right now!!

Only took me 4 years to find the perfect mirror for our bar 😌

Hardware, appliances, countertops, oh my!

The concept behind this house was a blending of worlds, the New Mexican dessert and “copper country” of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. While the project is located in the UP, the clients spent their grad school years in Albuquerque, falling in love with the turquoise colors and geometric designs of the area. I love how this stained white oak turned out and the copper hardware really pops against the vibrant grain. Soon to come: a patina’ed copper backsplash!

Swipe to see how hiring a designer and thinking through the details together is important (a perfectly executed miss of the appliance handle 😊).

Just got back from the most wonderful family vacation this past week. It was so needed - life has handed us a few challenges lately and it was so life-giving to connect as a family and remember what matters most🥰

We absolutely loved Savannah and Hilton Head Island and all the beautiful nature and architecture. I can’t wait to return some day :)
