More than a decade ago ā and the philosophy hasnāt changed.
A serious protection dog should never have to choose between being a capable protector and being part of the family.
Long before āfamily protection dogā became a marketing phrase, this was our standard: dogs selected and trained for real family life ā children, homes, everyday routines ā with the capability to protect when called upon.
Training evolves. Standards get higher. Experience grows.

A protection dog should never be defined only by what he can do when something goes wrong.

Even when we take the boat out, somehow weāre still surrounded by them.
But after spending most of my life training, raising and living with dogs, Iām not sure Iād know what to do with a dog-free day anyway.
This is a big part of life at High-Class K9. The dogs arenāt something we clock in and out of ā theyāre part of our homes, our families, our weekends andā¦ our boat days too. šāļø
Wouldnāt have it any other way.

Highly trained. Proven in protection. Defeated by a soccer net. š
Meet Balboa.
His owners have three acres for him to roam, and after looking for him for a while, they finally found their very capable protection dogā¦ sitting patiently inside a soccer net waiting to be rescued.
Balboa is an incredibly strong, reliable dog when it matters ā but apparently tactical problem-solving was not on todayās agenda.
Thatās real life with a well-balanced family protection dog. Serious when he needs to be. Affectionate, fun, and occasionally just as goofy as every other dog the rest of the time.
And frankly, we wouldnāt want it any other way.
