One of the best "run and gun" games in my opinion!

Capcom's classic beat 'Em up game "Alien vs. Predator" was released on this day 32 years ago (1994)

Alien vs. Predator features a control scheme that includes an eight-directional joystick along with three buttons: one for attacking, one for jumping, and one for shooting. The standard cabinet setup allows up to three players to join in at the same time, though some smaller versions can only fit two players. Players can choose from four characters: two cyborg soldiers, Major Dutch Schaefer and Lieutenant Linn Kurosawa, and two Predators, a Hunter and a Warrior.

Out of the four characters, three come with a melee weapon: Linn wields a katana, the Hunter has a bladed naginata staff, and the Warrior uses an extendable-retractable spear/staff. Dutch, on the other hand, doesn't have a melee weapon but can strike enemies with his cybernetic arm. Additionally, he can pick up and use any melee weapon that another character drops, unlike the other playable characters who throw them instead.
