Family Friday

Today marks the final day of the Week of the Young Child for us, and we’re closing it out by celebrating the most important part of early learning—our families.

We wrapped up the week with a wonderful family picnic today! It was such a joy to see children and their loved ones sharing meals, laughter, and special moments together right here at the center.

Family involvement plays a powerful role in a child’s growth and development, and today was a beautiful reminder of the strong community we have built together.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and continue to support our little learners every day.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)

We kept the celebration going at our Early Learning Center – Mid-City with a belated Tasty Tuesday for the Week of the Young Child!

After returning from Spring Break, our little learners jumped right into the fun—enjoying healthy delicious treats, exploring new flavors, and sharing lots of smiles.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special.

The children enjoyed a fun-filled day of painting, exciting relay races, and a joyful Easter egg hunt. There’s nothing better than seeing their creativity, teamwork, and smiles shine in the fresh air!

Outdoor play is not only fun, it’s a wonderful way for our little learners to grow, explore, and stay active.

Outdoor exploration is in full swing at Early Learning Center Mid-City.

Children and teachers spent time building, testing ideas, and working together on the playground, while also engaging with STEM Carts received from the Rooted in Nature: Enhancing Early Childhood Development through Outdoor Environments Grant. With materials like hula hoops and hands-on activities, children explored movement, problem-solving, and creativity in new ways.

Love is in the air… and so is learning

Our little learners had the sweetest time attending the wedding of “Q” and “U” — because let’s be honest, these two just belong together!

Spring is the season of new beginnings… and a perfect time to celebrate pairs that were meant to be.
