After a long drive to Birmingham yesterday, we picked up Ruthy and brought her safe and sound to Baldwin County! 🧡🐾
Her training journey begins first thing tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to helping this sweet girl build confidence and learn new skills.
Stay tuned for updates on Ruthy’s progress!

🐾 Birmingham bound!
I’m driving a client to Birmingham to pick up this sweet girl, a female Boston Terrier who was recently surrendered. Her next chapter is about to begin, and I’m grateful to be part of it.
She needs some help building confidence, and that’s what Building Better Dogs is all about. Through patience, Positive Reinforcement, Gentle Guidance, and Clear Communication, I’ll help her build trust and feel more secure—one small success at a time.
Stay tuned. We have big plans for this sweet baby! ❤️

An open door is not an invitation to bolt! 🐾
Oscar is making wonderful progress with door and threshold manners. During today’s training, he maintained his Place position with the door wide open—even as I stepped completely outside—and waited until I released him with “Free.”
Clear communication, consistent timing, and rewarding the right choices help build reliable behavior where it matters: at home.
Need help with door bolting, jumping, or everyday manners? Call Ron at 251-414-6114 for personalized, professional in-home training in Mobile and Baldwin Counties.

Website & Client Portal Update
The BBDTraining.com website and the Building Better Dogs Client Portal are temporarily unavailable to the public while I complete some important updates and fine-tuning.
I’m taking this time to make sure both platforms are working exactly the way they should before reopening them—including improving the client experience, account setup, notifications, training resources, and other features behind the scenes.
I expect both the website and client portal to be back online and publicly accessible within approximately 2–3 weeks at the latest.
Thank you for your patience while I continue improving Building Better Dogs and the tools I provide to my clients.

Julie and Goose are doing wonderfully with the personalized training plan I developed for them. Goose’s focus and engagement have improved so much, and Julie deserves a lot of credit for the work she’s put in.
She’s done an amazing job learning my training techniques, timing, and marker system—and understanding the philosophy behind them. You can see their progress in the way they work together. The results speak for themselves!
At Building Better Dogs, I provide professional in-home training built around each dog and family. If you need help with your dog, call Ron at (251) 414-6114.
