Are you ready for the Woofstock 2026 Pet Costume Contest! We've changed up the categories a bit this year because y'all always have the BEST ideas:

1. Best Traditional Halloween - Give us your best classic Halloween with your cute or spooky ghosts, spiders or maybe a candy corn?

2. Best Dog Specific Costume - A costume that was clearly made for that dog! Whether it perfectly matches their personality, breed, name, show us a costume that makes people say, “That is SO them.”
Bonus points for costumes that incorporate a dog’s unique personality or physical characteristics.

3. Most Creative - Dazzle us with a costume we've never seen. Bonus points for making us giggle!

Join us on Oct 17th at Oyster City Mobile to be part of the fun!

We're off to the races Woofstock 2026! The wiener dog races are a annual highlight of the day, so bring a pup to race or just come watch the fun!

Why should you come to Woofstock 2026?

1. It’s FUN!!!!! Oyster City Mobile is our awesome host for a day of fall fun!

2. It’s a fundraiser to help pets in our community! Just look at all the dogs enjoying the play yards at The City of Mobile Animal Services- all because of support from y’all! It makes our hearts full to be able to improve the lives of shelter pets.

3. Did we mention it’s fun? You HAVE to see a dog pumpkin pie eating contest. Trust us!

See ya October 17th!

Important update from the City Shelter!

The City of Mobile Animal Services Department is seeing an increase in animals that appear to be suffering from a viral Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease. On the advice of our Shelter Veterinarian, Animal Services will be pausing all dog intakes for the rest of the week to allow our medical team time to test, identify, and treat these viruses. We will also limit our canine placements during this time. This does not affect any of our services for cats.

Emergency intakes for sick or injured animals may be permitted on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for your understanding.

You won't want to miss the Pie Eating Contest Woofstock 2026! This event is a blast for pups as they devour doggy safe pumpkin pies and tons of laughs for all the spectators. Plus, our winners will take home some sweet prizes!

Come join us October 17th Oyster City Mobile as we have tons of fun and raise money to help dogs and cats in our community!
