Training that makes the difference. Coastal Emergency Medical Skills provides a variety of emergency training classes.
Coastal Emergency Medical Skills (CEMS CPR) provides high-quality CPR, AED, First Aid, and emergency response training for workplaces, schools, and communities. These classes are designed for the community, as well as to healthcare professionals. These skills can be used to make a difference in life-threatening events.
One thing I always tell my students is that learning CPR is one thing, but being able to perform quality CPR and having the confidence to use those skills is just as important.
That’s why we practice. Great technique, quality compressions, and plenty of hands-on training. You never know when someone might be counting on you.

Our Crimson for Kids flag is up! ❤️
Proud to stand with Parent Heart Watch and their Crimson for Kids initiative during Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month.
This is a mission that means a lot to me and to CemsCpr. We’ll keep doing our part to advocate, educate, teach CPR and AED skills, support youth heart screenings, and hopefully get more people prepared to act when it matters most.
Sometimes something as simple as a flag in the front yard can start a conversation — and that conversation might just make a difference.

October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month. ❤️
This one is close to my heart and a big part of why we do what we do at CemsCpr.
Whether we’re teaching CPR, placing AEDs, supporting youth heart screenings, or simply advocating for better awareness and preparedness, the goal is the same — helping give someone a fighting chance.
Learn CPR. Know where the AED is. Be willing to act.

A great night at the University of South Alabama in Mobile with the Alpha Epsilon Delta Alabama Zeta Chapter.
Tonight we talked about those critical first minutes in an emergency — recognizing what’s happening, taking action, quality CPR, AEDs, and why what happens before the hospital can make such a difference.
I always enjoy getting in front of future healthcare professionals, especially when they ask questions, get involved, and want to learn. This was a great group, and I appreciate the opportunity to share a little of what I’ve learned along the way.
The first minutes matter. 
Spent yesterday afternoon with the teachers at Central Christian School working on CPR and AED skills.
They jumped right in, got hands-on and did a great job. Always good to see another group learning the skills and building the confidence to step up when it matters. ❤️

CemsCpr was proud to partner with Heart for Athletes at Lighthouse Baptist Academy for another youth heart screening.
Sudden cardiac arrest doesn’t only affect athletes. It can happen to any young person, including kids who look and feel completely healthy and may have no idea an underlying heart condition is there. That’s why these screenings are so important. An EKG can sometimes identify warning signs that deserve a closer look.
This can’t happen without people willing to show up and give their time. From checking students in and placing leads to running EKGs, teaching CPR and AED skills, and keeping everything moving, our volunteers were incredible.
I’m proud to stand beside this group and incredibly thankful for everyone who showed up for these kids. And thank you to those who reached out and offered to help but couldn’t make it this time. Every person willing to support this mission makes a difference.
This is what protecting young hearts is all about. ❤️

I have to brag on these kids a little bit.
Today at Lighthouse Baptist Academy, students of all ages stepped up to learn CPR, and they honestly impressed me.
They didn’t just practice—they watched each other, caught things that needed correcting, and coached one another to do better. Even some of the youngest stepped up and took charge.
I’ve taught CPR for a lot of years, and watching these kids today was pretty special.
Proud of this group. They did an outstanding job! ❤️
