Training that makes the difference. Coastal Emergency Medical Skills provides a variety of emergency training classes.
Coastal Emergency Medical Skills (CEMS CPR) provides high-quality CPR, AED, First Aid, and emergency response training for workplaces, schools, and communities. These classes are designed for the community, as well as to healthcare professionals. These skills can be used to make a difference in life-threatening events.
Great training builds confidence, and confidence improves performance when it matters most.
This story is a powerful reminder that in an emergency, staying calm isn’t about luck—it’s about preparation. Whether it’s in the air, at work, or during a cardiac arrest, quality training can make all the difference.
Preparing to teach also means being prepared to respond.
It was an honor to provide CPR, AED, and emergency response training for the faculty and staff at Tom P. Haney Technical College. Thank you for your commitment to creating a safer campus and for investing in skills that can make a difference when every second counts.

🚑 From zero medical experience to running a full cardiac arrest scenario.
Watching these brand-new Emergency Medical Responder students work together—performing high-quality CPR, managing an airway, providing oxygen, and successfully resuscitating their patient during a simulated cardiac arrest—was incredible to see.

During the National CPR & AED Awareness March & Rally in Washington, D.C., it was an incredible honor to spend time with John Moon, one of the pioneers of the Freedom House Ambulance Service—the groundbreaking organization that helped shape modern emergency medical services in America.
As CPR and EMS instructors, we have the privilege of teaching the skills that save lives every day. Meeting someone whose legacy helped build the profession we love was both humbling and inspiring.
Thank you, Mr. Moon, for sharing your time, your stories, and your remarkable legacy. Your dedication continues to inspire responders and instructors across the country.
At CEMS, we remain committed to carrying that legacy forward by equipping more people with the confidence and skills to respond when every second counts.

🇺🇸 Day 1 | National CPR & AED Awareness March – Washington, D.C.
Our weekend began at the Washington Monument with the inspiring Turning of the Tide Ceremony before marching to the U.S. Capitol and the Lincoln Memorial, where volunteers, instructors, survivors, advocates, sponsors, and supporters came together with one mission—to help save more lives through CPR and AED education.
Thank you to every sponsor, nonprofit organization, exhibitor, volunteer, instructor, survivor, advocate, and participant who made this unforgettable event possible.
Every Compression Has a Story.
This is ours.
➡️ Watch for Part 2 as we continue our journey through this unforgettable weekend.
Two years ago, a life was saved because a group of people chose to act.
I’m incredibly proud of my son and every person who stepped in without hesitation to perform CPR, use an AED, and work together until EMS arrived. Their quick actions gave this man another chance at life.
This is proof that CPR works. You never know when someone you love—or even a complete stranger—will need you.
Learn CPR. Know how to use an AED. Be ready when every second counts. ❤️
