Congratulations to the four outstanding students named as this year's recipients of the RCI-IIBEC Foundation’s Lewis W. Newlan Academic Scholarship! Established in honor of late team member Lewis "Lou" W. Newlan, this annual need-based program supports undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in architecture, construction, building sciences, and engineering.

We are proud to see Lou's passion for education continue to make a lasting impact on these bright futures.

Our Houston team had a great time participating in the Ashe Houston 8th Annual Client Connection Roundtable.

It was an excellent opportunity to engage directly with transportation and infrastructure leaders from across the region to discuss upcoming projects and infrastructure needs. We always value the chance to collaborate with industry peers and regional agencies to help shape the future of Texas infrastructure.

When an industry award is named after you, you know you've made an impact!

We want to give a massive congratulations to Thompson’s very own Bobby Mosely on the introduction of the (MDOT's) new statewide honor: The Bobby Moseley Award. Named in his honor, this award will now be given annually to the highest-performing, safest, and best-run MDOT facility in the state.

From his time as State Maintenance Engineer to his impactful work leading environmental compliance audits with Thompson, Bobby has dedicated his career to lifting up the transportation industry and keeping workers safe.

Thank you, Bobby, for being a true leader, a mentor, and a friend to so many.

What an incredible turnout for the 24th annual Thompson Fishing Rodeo on Dauphin Island earlier this month. Despite some choppy weather, anglers managed to land a few fish. As always, the big winner was the Thompson Foundation. The fishing rodeo raises funds for the foundation and this year netted $101,500!

Big thanks to our employees and those of our affiliated companies, as well as our clients, friends, and family, for making this year's event a success. Catch you next year!

Thompson Engineering recently joined state and local leaders in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to celebrate the completion of the I-75 and I-24 interchange rebuild.

As the lead firm managing this $328 million project, we were proud to see this seven-year effort reach its final milestone. This work involved a massive rebuild of the interchange and the widening of several miles of interstate to help ease traffic for the thousands of drivers who use this corridor every day.

It was a privilege to work alongside myTDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation) and Wright Brothers Construction Company, Inc. to deliver this much-needed roadway improvement to the Hamilton County community.

We are proud to see the main entrance to Little River State Forest officially open to the public!

Our Structural Team designed the new timber bridge for the main entrance road, a key piece of the Phase I improvements at the Claude D. Kelley Recreational Area. In partnership with the Alabama Forestry Commission, the bridge was intentionally designed with timber materials to pay homage to Alabama's natural resources. It was an honor to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside state officials and members of the North Escambia community to celebrate the reopening of this beautiful site.

We are excited for the families who will once again make memories at this park. The new bridge serves as a gateway to the new campground, fishing pier, and years of future outdoor adventures for the region.
