Our mission is to remove barriers to care, deliver quality integrated health care, and build a better community through recovery and connection.

Our programs serve the unique needs of Service Members, Veterans, First Responders, and their families. They may be home, but their battle rages on. With their memory. With their traumas. With themselves. One veteran in four suffers from serious mental health issues, often turning to drugs, alcohol, and even suicide to end their pain. Yet now thereโ€™s a place they can turn before itโ€™s too late: Vet

Today we honor Sgt. Kurt D Brooks, a Purple Heart recipient who served our nation with courage and distinction.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ U.S. Marine Corps (1998โ€“2002)
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ U.S. Army Reserve (2003โ€“2009)
๐ŸŽ—๏ธ Wounded in Action: September 15, 2005 โ€” Bayji, Iraq (IED Incident)

Since then, Kurt has continued to serve as a Peer Support Specialist at Vets Recover, working with fellow veterans as they navigate the challenges that follow military service. Having lived through his own journey of recovery, he is uniquely positioned to help struggling Veterans get their lives back on track.

Thank you, Kurt, for your sacrifice.

We honor the dead by carrying on their wishes.

Keeping the grounds at Historic Oak Lawn Cemetery maintained is a reminder of why we do what we do.

Recovery isn't a one-time event, it's ongoing. It takes commitment, consistency, and people who are willing to show up, even for the small things. Just like maintaining these historic grounds, healing requires regular care, support, and a community that refuses to let anyone be forgotten.

By helping veterans reclaim their lives and supporting the community they fought to protect, we continue the work of those who came before us.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered alongside us today.

This Fourth of July, we honor every Veteran, active-duty service member, and military family whose sacrifice has made our nation's independence possible.

While fireworks light up the sky, we also remember that this day can be difficult for many Veterans living with PTSD, addiction, anxiety, or other service-related challenges. If you or someone you love is struggling, know that you don't have to fight alone.

At Vets Recover, we're built by Veterans, for Veterans. Our team is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help those ready to take the first step toward recovery and a new mission in life.

This Independence Day, choose hope. Choose healing. Choose recovery.

๐Ÿ“ž Call Vets Recover anytime. Help is always available.

Happy Independence Day from all of us at Vets Recover! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
