Today we celebrate the incredible legacy of Glenn Goins, the powerhouse vocalist whose unforgettable voice helped define the classic Parliament-Funkadelic sound. His passion, soul, and electrifying performances elevated every song he touched and left an imprint on generations of music lovers.
Though Glenn is no longer with us, his spirit lives on every time “Bop Gun,” “Unfunky UFO,” and so many other P-Funk classics fill the air. His voice wasn’t just heard—it was felt. His talent helped fuel the Mothership and inspire a movement that continues to unite Funkateers around the world.

I was too young to witness the legendary Mothership landing the first time around, so experiencing it 50 years later at the festival was truly a bucket-list moment! ✨ MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! ✨
One of the biggest highlights of our Essence Festival weekend was finally meeting the amazing Dawn Fitch! 💜
My sister and I were on a mission to find Pooka Pure and Simple because we’ve been longtime loyal customers and absolutely LOVE her award-winning body butters, body oils, and hair care products. After standing in the BeautyCon line for over an hour, our mission was finally complete—and it was worth every second!
When we told Dawn that we came to Essence Fest specifically hoping to meet her, she was genuinely touched. She greeted us with the warmest smile, so much kindness, and nothing but LOVE. ❤️
Then came the sweetest surprise! She gifted us the incredible Bloom Bar Experience, where we created our own custom perfume oil fragrances. The experience was creative, fun, luxurious, and unforgettable. I can’t wait to wear my signature scent!

Today is my Dad’s Heavenly Birthday. ❤️
My father was a courageous foot soldier who participated in the Teachers’ March and the historic Bloody Sunday March in Selma in 1965. Alongside so many others, he risked his life so future generations would have the right to vote.
We cannot allow recent Supreme Court decisions or any obstacle to discourage us from exercising a right that so many fought and sacrificed for.
