Cancer care continues long after treatment ends.

At Foundation Health's For Her and Hope event, Dr. Beakley shared the importance of survivorship and the role ongoing care plays in helping patients move forward with confidence. 🩷

“The end of active treatment does not mean the end of care. Survivorship is an active partnership between you and your medical team to manage late side effects, optimize your nutrition and physical health, and protect your peace of mind. We are here to listen to your concerns, celebrate your milestones, and ensure that you have the resources you need to thrive,” said Dr. Beakley, SCC breast surgical oncologist.

Head and neck cancer treatment can lead to painful scarring and swelling (lymphedema), but specialized care makes a world of difference!
