Plan and prepare now in case these conditions and impacts occur as predicted. Changes are still possible with this track and forecast, so continue to follow trusted weather sources for vital information.

(WEDNESDAY 10:05am) - A Hurricane Watch is now in effect for our area, including Mobile.

Now is the time to prepare for tropical weather that’s expected to impact the Gulf Coast as soon as Friday. Don’t focus solely on the center of the cone. Shifts are still possible with this forecast.

Make sure you have the essentials for around the house, fuel for your vehicles and generator, medicine for you and your pets, batteries, flashlights, and anything else you think you may need if you were to lose power.

Also, rising water is a huge threat with approaching tropical systems in low-lying areas. Localized flooding will also be a concern from rainwater.

Now is the time to review your emergency plans, build your disaster supply kit, know your evacuation zone, and ensure your family is ready before a storm threatens our community.
