It’s fall, y’all! Fall officially begins today, Sept. 22.

Although this can be a busy time of year...and still HOT...there are plenty of ways to slow down and enjoy everything our state has to offer. From admiring beautiful fall foliage and attending family-friendly activities to exploring the outdoors and joining an Alabama Extension event, there is so much to do this season.

We are excited to announce that Mobile County 4-H has received a generous donation in state-appropriated funds to expand youth development opportunities throughout our community!

Thanks to the support of Alabama Senator Jack Williams, this generous investment will help fund several new initiatives—including the creation of 4-H RiverKids, Wildlife Habitat Education, and Forestry programs. These funds will also be used to strengthen our livestock programs, install pollinator gardens, and enhance opportunities for in-school and community clubs.

We are sincerely thankful to Senator Williams and the State of Alabama for their commitment to our young people. Together, we are creating more opportunities for Mobile County youth to learn, grow, and be beyond ready for their futures.🍀

Join Extension Homeowner Gardening Conference Sept. 25-26 - Alabama Cooperative Extension System The Homeowner Gardening Conference in Mobile County will provide valuable garden education and expertise on Sept. 25-26.

Our first Youth Leadership Council community service event for this school year will be the Alabama Coastal Cleanup. We will be working along the coast in Bayou La Batre. Details are listed below.
