Join us to learn more about the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program at library events throughout Stanislaus County! The Modesto Children’s Museum will lead a fun, hands-on art program for ages 3 -6, and during the event, library staff will be available to help parents and caregivers get started with and learn more about 1000 Books Before Kindergarten on Beanstack.

Registration is required to participate in the art program; however, anyone can stop by the event’s information table for assistance with 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. Visit our online calendar of events at www.stanlibrary.org to find an event near you and reserve your spot.

Teens, do you love anime? We do, too! Tap into your artistic side and enter our Anime Bookmark Contest!

Create and submit your own original, anime-themed bookmark design to any Stanislaus County Library during the month of September. The winning design will be announced during Anime Day at the Nick W. Blom Salida Regional Library on Saturday, October 17, from 11 am - 3 pm.

Please note: Your bookmark design must feature original characters and artwork created by you. Designs may be inspired by the anime style, but cannot use or reproduce characters, artwork, logos, or other elements from existing anime, manga, or other media.
