This month (September 15 - October 15), we celebrate the rich history, culture, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic Americans who continue to strengthen and enrich our communities.

From generations of family traditions to the countless contributions in our workplaces, schools, businesses, and neighborhoods, Hispanic heritage is an important part of the story of Stanislaus County.

🗳️ Language assistance is available for Stanislaus County voters!

Stanislaus County offers expanded language services to help voters access election materials and language assistance. Official ballots are available in English and Spanish, with facsimile ballots and language assistance available in Mandarin, Khmer, Korean, Punjabi, Assyrian and Tagalog.

September is National Workforce Development Month! 🤝

A stronger workforce starts with collaboration. By bringing together job seekers, employers, and workforce partners, we’re creating opportunities, building skills, and strengthening our local economy.

Our work is guided by six strategic priorities: data-driven decision-making, effective relationships, development of a skilled workforce, system alignment and collective impact, outreach and engagement, and diverse and strategic funding.

⚠️Road Alert: Overnight Roselle Avenue Closure

Roselle Avenue between Claribel Road and Plainview Road will be fully closed in both directions overnight from Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. through Friday, September 18 at 6 a.m.

During the closure:
• Use Oakdale Road, Sylvan Avenue, Claus Road, and Patterson Road as the detour.
• Plainview Road is not part of the detour and should not be used for through traffic.
• Emergency vehicles will not have access through the closure zone during this overnight closure.

The flags at County facilities are lowered to half-staff today in honor of the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

25 years later, we continue to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who stepped forward during one of our nation’s darkest days.

We hold close the families who lost loved ones, honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and reflect on the strength and unity that brought our nation together.

May we never forget the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the enduring spirit of those who answered the call to serve.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
