Calling All Mission Graduates!
If you graduated from the Modesto Gospel Mission’s New Life Program or Discipleship Program, we’d love to welcome you back! Join us for our first Mission Alumni Round-Up on Saturday, November 14, from 2–5 PM at the Mission Youth Center.

Our HopeWorks teams recently had the opportunity to come together and celebrate their hard work, dedication, and achievements—not only throughout the City of Modesto, but also in their personal lives.

Since HopeWorks began in January 2026, our teams have removed more than 80,000 pounds of trash from throughout Modesto. And just this week alone, our crews removed more than 3,000 pounds from our community!

We are incredibly proud of everything our HopeWorks teams have accomplished and the difference they continue to make in our city.
Great job, HopeWorks! Keep up the amazing work!

Stephen was part of the Downtown Streets Team when it closed, but when HopeWorks was established, he was thrilled to be contacted to join the new team!

Now that he’s connected with HopeWorks, Stephen is working toward financial stability. He’s preparing to take a sheet metal apprenticeship test next month, to find full-time work and long-term stability.

Stephen says he would recommend HopeWorks to anyone experiencing homelessness because it feels good to help the community, wake up with a purpose, and have camaraderie with his coworkers.
